This training is intended :
- Executives and agents of the fisheries control teams of Central and West African countries – operational level – from the administrations and services in charge of fisheries control missions.
- Training of a technical nature.
- Note: Access to level 2 and 3 courses will be conditional on participation and success in the final test of the level 1 course.

- Law of the Sea, impacts of IUU fishing
- Description of target species and fishing techniques
- Description and targeting of fishing vessels
- On-board document controls
- Landing control procedures
- Calculation of hold volumes
- Regional Fisheries Management Organizations in the Gulf of Guinea
- Evidence preservation techniques
- Practical exercises on a fishing vessel
