Managers and officers of the fisheries control teams of Central and West African countries – operational level – from the administrations and services in charge of fisheries control missions.
Technical training.
To access the training level 2, priority is given to auditors having successfully completed the training level 1, or having equivalent qualifications or serious experience in the field duly specified in the application form.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE CONTENT OF THE TRAINING
- Law of the sea, impacts of IUU fishing
- Description of target species and fishing techniques
- Description and targeting of fishing vessels
- On-board document checks
- Control procedures
- Calculation of bilge volumes
- Regional fisheries management organizations in the Gulf of Guinea
- Techniques for preserving evidence
- Practical exercises onboard fishing vessels
PEDAGOGICAL METHOD
The training will be sanctioned on the last day with a knowledge test.
