GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE CONTENT OF THE TRAINING
- General principles and major control strategies ;
- Behavior of hydrocarbons in the environment;
- Offshore control strategies:
- Aerial observation, monitoring of slicks and quantification of pollution at sea;

Dispersion;

In-situ burning;

Containment – Recovery;

Crisis management:
o Contingency planning and incident management;
o Crisis communication and the media;
o Compensation.

Coastal Wrestling:
o Recognition of polluted sites;
o Coastal Cleanup;
o Organization of work sites;
o Waste management.
These modules will be complemented by tutorials on site organization, feedback and a day of practical exercises and field demonstrations.
PEDAGOGICAL METHOD
The last day of the course will be marked by a knowledge test.
