  •  The seminar is intended for:

    Personnel who have already participated in SAR-Level 1-2 or OSC training;
    .  Maritime Affairs agents working primarily in MRCCs, the Navy and units assigned to maritime rescue, and aeronautical rescue coordination centers (ARCCs);
    .  Administrations involved in the Action of the State at Sea of the Member States of the Gulf of Guinea.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE CONTENT OF THE TRAINING

      • The training will focus on case studies in:
        – SAR communication concepts: GMDSS;
        – Marine cartography;
        – Introduction to first aid at sea;
        – Elaboration of search area and search plan;
        – Elaboration of AVURNAV ;
        – Practical exercises on pyrotechnic signal notifications
        – Elaboration of decision support sheets and information sheets
        – Overview of the basic principles of TMAS service provision;
        – Practical exercises in the navigation simulator.

        EXPECTED RESULTS :
        At the end of the seminar, the audience will be able to:
        -Operate SAR services in an optimal manner
        -Deal with all SAR situations
        -Manage the different phases of a SAR operation;
        -Ensure the application of TMAS response procedures
        -Ensure the planning and coordination of a SAR operation.
