The call for applications will give priority to trainees who have successfully participated in the level 1 training course, positioned in administrations in charge of the control of goods transported by sea containers.
However, a few places may be offered to operational managers with significant experience in the subject matter.
This course is aimed at representatives from French, English and Portuguese speaking countries.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE CONTENT OF THE TRAINING
-Theoretical training: 3 ½ days dedicated to the presentation of fundamental knowledge enabling the trainees to understand the rules of international trade and the transport of containerised goods by sea: the main fraud trends, the main commercial maritime routes, the main operating modes of criminal organisations (case studies), port logistics, commercial and customs documents, knowledge of the means of sealing containers, security in controls and the typical organisation of a container targeting unit (two examples).
-Practical training: 4 ½ days dedicated to supervised practical work (practical exercises to study commercial documents in order to allow trainees to share their experiences, discuss relevant suspicion criteria in the sub-region, select risky containers and prepare them for control).
The ISMI training container could be used to simulate a physical inspection, as a conclusion to these exercises.

The application file, composed of the following documents, must be sent to the defense attaché at the French embassy in your country.
