The training is organized for the benefit of fisheries inspectors and agents of the Ivory Coast, regardless of their administration of origin.
General description of the training content
- Reminder of the fundamentals and prerequisites to carry out a fisheries inspection (geodetic positioning, general regulatory framework, overview of ICCAT rules);
- Techniques for the preparation of a fisheries inspection (general preparation, routine and initial actions);
- Techniques for conducting a fishing vessel inspection (inspection of the bridge, documents, gear, catches, holds and premises);
- Techniques for the completion of a fishing vessel inspection (the inspection report, the finding of violations and precautionary measures).
Pedagogical Method
The last day of the course will be marked by a knowledge test.
